<description>When I worked with users of green screen terminals, that then migrated to PCs, the idea of using a mouse on high volume data entry screens was kinda out of the question. If the UI is designed in a way to "snap" the mouse to various common points, then I see the mouse could be fast for user. In my opinion, it depends on the application the user is engaged in. If the user is using both hands on the keyboard, using data entry screens for instance, how can moving your hand from the keyboard to the mouse be faster? On the other hand, if we are using a browser based application with many hyperlinks in various locales, then hitting tab to move through these probably won't be faster than grabbing the mouse.
