Previously, Gautam has worked on web-based systems at Citibank, AOL/Time Warner, The New York Times, TheStreet.com, Audible, Grassroots Technologies Inc, a professional services company he co-founded and Fortunecity.com
Gautam specializes in promoting and managing effective use of mature open source technologies in the enterprise and is the author of a book, called Open Source in the Enterprise, on the subject with Oreilly.
